Likely causes

The manual lists 3 causes:

  1. The joystick was not in the center (neutral) position at start-up.
  2. Platform control joystick.
  3. Ground control (GCON) ECM.

How to fix it

Work through these in order, as the manual's troubleshooting chart does:

  1. Leave the joystick centered while the machine starts up.

Call a technician: If the code stays with the joystick centered at start-up. Genie says troubleshooting and repair must be done by a trained, qualified person.
