Privacy

We count visits without cookies and without storing your IP address. Here is exactly what we collect.

Visit statistics (our own)

• A random ID created for each browser tab and kept in that tab's session storage. It is deleted when you close the tab. It is not a cookie and is not shared with anyone.
• The page you viewed (without the query string), the referring site's name, the time, how long the page was in view and how far you scrolled, which ad or sponsor boxes came into view, clicks on our own links (affiliate /go/, sponsor and quote links), use of our tools (for example "the decoder ran: success" — never the serial number you typed) and site-search text (dropped if it looks like an email or phone number).
• Your browser family (for example "Chrome"), device class (phone, tablet, desktop), country, and your network's operator number (ASN), used only to tell people from bots. We do not store your IP address or full browser identification string.
• Raw events are deleted after 90 days; daily totals are kept.

Website analytics by our host

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Its cookieless analytics counts page views per page and referring site; no IP address, cookie or query string is stored.

Forms

When you send a quote request, a serial-number submission, a vote or a message, we keep what you typed so we can answer or pass your request to suppliers you asked for. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is sent by a person.

Advertising

We show Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
