The switched power #1 circuit (which feeds the limit, pothole and tilt switches) is shorted to battery negative. All functions are locked out. [src]

Likely causes

The manual lists 2 causes:

  1. Short in the switched power #1, down limit switch, pothole limit switch or digital tilt switch harness.
  2. Ground control (GCON) ECM.

How to fix it

Work through these in order, as the manual's troubleshooting chart does:

  1. Check the device on the faulted circuit (coil, horn, alarm, etc.) for a short or open circuit; replace it if it tests bad.
  2. If the device is good, check the harness and connector between the ground controls and the device; repair or replace them if bad.
  3. If the harness is also good, check the ground control (GCON) ECM and replace it if it tests bad.

Call a technician: Right away. Genie says to tag a damaged or malfunctioning machine and take it out of service, and to repair it before use.
