The steer left valve circuit is shorted to battery negative or open. The machine will not steer left. [src]

Likely causes

The manual lists 3 causes:

  1. Short or open circuit in the steer left harness.
  2. Shorted or open steer left coil.
  3. Ground control (GCON) ECM.

How to fix it

Work through these in order, as the manual's troubleshooting chart does:

  1. Check the device on the faulted circuit (coil, horn, alarm, etc.) for a short or open circuit; replace it if it tests bad.
  2. If the device is good, check the harness and connector between the ground controls and the device; repair or replace them if bad.
  3. If the harness is also good, check the ground control (GCON) ECM and replace it if it tests bad.

Call a technician: Any time this code appears. Genie says troubleshooting and repair must be done by a trained, qualified person.
