Likely causes

The manual lists 3 causes:

  1. Short in the pothole switch circuit.
  2. Shorted pothole limit #1 switch.
  3. Ground control (GCON) ECM.

How to fix it

The manual does not give step-by-step repairs for this code beyond the cause above. Have a trained technician diagnose it.

Call a technician: Right away. Genie says to tag a damaged or malfunctioning machine and take it out of service, and to repair it before use.
