Toyota serial number lookup
Toyota does not publish a way to read the build year from the serial number. Here is where the data plate is and what it shows.
Where is the Toyota serial number?
The nameplate (data tag) is commonly near the dashboard. FridayParts says, depending on model: near the operator compartment, around the dashboard, on the frame, or by the seat base. If the plate is missing, the serial is often stamped on the frame; Intella gives a model-to-figure table of stamp locations.
